The Mission of the School Library

“The school library offers learning services, books and resources that enable all members of the school community to become critical thinkers and effective users of information in all formats and media.”

UNESCO/IFLA School Library Manifesto

Warwick Academy Libraries comprise of a Primary School section, a Senior School section and an IB section, all located in one of the oldest parts of the school. The Library collection is available to the WA community at large and consists of over 10, 000 volumes carefully selected for their relevance to the curriculum. Recreational reading is also encouraged and to that end the latest fiction and non-fiction titles are acquired. In addition to the print collection, on-site and remote access to searchable databases with the possibility of downloading full-text articles is available to Library users.

Library skills instruction is delivered throughout the year at the different levels of the school in order to maximize the use of resources and to teach students how to become information literate.

Finally, special events are scheduled to promote literacy and reading as a pleasurable activity.

We invite you to explore the WA Libraries Portal and to contact the Librarian for any question which you may have.
