Warwick Academy is a selective, independent school of some 770 students aged 5-18. All pupils follow the United Kingdom National Curriculum between ages 5-16, the syllabuses and examinations of IGCSE (Cambridge); GCSE (Edexcel) and the International Baccalaureate between the ages of 15- 18 (two years, depending on birthdate). N.B. the age of admission to school in Bermuda is the year in which you are 5 years of age between January 1st and December 31st in any given year. Many of the students are, therefore several months younger (and in a Year Group above where they would ‘normally’ be) in other parts of the world.
Annual I/GCSE pass rates average around 85% Grades A* to C and about one-third to a half of each Year Group attempts the full ‘IB’ Diploma. The rest of each year group enter for ‘IB’ subject certificates in their last two years. College and university placements are taken by 96 – 100% of each Year Group and their main destinations lie across Canada, the UK & the US.
See the other articles under the ‘job opportunities’ banner for details of contractual conditions, the school & life in Bermuda.
Applications including two professional referees, a full CV and letter outlining one’s case for selection should be sent to: The Principal's Secretary, Mrs Deborah Hassell at the school. Electronic application from this site is preferred but bids may also be sent by email, fax or letter.
